I normally don't do posts that express down right confusion, disgust, and sadness but honestly, this company has made me feel all of the above.
Myglam.com is a company where {like Birchbox} sends you a package of randomly picked samples for $10 a month. I signed up in December (for the January Glam Bag), paid my $10, and for over a month {since the date of payment} have not received anything. I contacted them and this is the response I got:
okay, no biggie right? I get a refund and there's still a chance my glam bag will arrive yay--wrong! I still really want my glam bag especially after viewing the featured products for the month of January so I decide to contact USPS and after speaking with a customer service rep I come to find out that although the USPS was expecting the package for delivery, other than that, they have no information on the package AT ALL. Which is a high indication that they didn't even send the package out, since it had already been over 2 weeks.
ROUND 2:
okay so first you stated that SEVERAL bags were in transit and now the story completely changes and some people were sent 2 glam bags while there were some "glammies" who have not received any?! I'm so so so confused. Wait no im not, it's simply another lie so the company doesn't have to admit while they were quick to take everyone's money, they did not having the adequate supply of glam bags on hand.
and then the disgust sets in..
yes I really did have my heart set on a glam bag but not from a what I feel fraudulent company. What about all the other people waiting for their January glam bag when it's almost February? and wouldn't you think they would have the common courtesy of notifying those who paid and were not sent their a glam bag issuing them a full refund. I feel like this company tried to take advantage of me and urge everyone
else who has not received their glam bag to take action as well.
I know it's only $10 but it's the principle behind the matter. Just because many of us beauty bloggers do have some extra income to spend on cosmetics, doesn't mean we don't deserve the respect we're entitled to.
As of today January 31st 2012 I have not received a refund **will update**
